02 \ ABOUT THE EXPEDITION
“Norway was a dream of mine: its fjords, sheer cliffs and Viking spirit have always drawn me in.
Nature here is majestic and still. Scandinavian restraint is both striking and captivating.
Sailing in Norway feels like travelling on a Viking longship: every dawn, whale encounter and bank of mist brings something unforgettable. Come and share this exploration with me.”

THE ROUTE
Day 0
Harstad
This year's route starts in Harstad, a small northern town and the beginning of our Lofoten adventure.
We meet in town, get to know the crew, buy provisions and check into a hotel to recover from travelling and prepare for the days ahead.
Time and energy permitting, we will visit a seaside sauna in the evening: a warm welcome to the north and an easy start to the expedition.
A day to arrive, meet one another and get your first taste of Norway.
Day 1
Harstad — Segla — Senja
The morning begins with a passage from Harstad to Senja, one of northern Norway's most beautiful islands.
After arriving, we can take a hike towards Segla for extraordinary views of fjords, sharp peaks and neighbouring islands.
After the walk, relax in a sauna, explore the landscape and feel the northern scale we came for.
In the evening we sail onwards towards Andenes, a world of orcas, whales and open ocean.
Day 2
Senja — Andenes — Sortland
Early in the morning we arrive in Andenes , where we hope to see orcas and whales in the wild. These waters offer feeding grounds and the possibility of unforgettable encounters along our route.
After watching the wildlife, we head towards an island where puffins nest: unmistakable seabirds with brightly coloured beaks.
In the evening we sail to Sortland for the night. Explore the town, visit a museum or enjoy another sauna right beside the fjord.
Day 3
Brottøya — Trollfjorden — Svolvær
From Sortland we visit Brotøya, our “Lofoten Seychelles”, known for white beaches and wild berries: raspberries, blueberries and cloudberries. The water is a dazzling turquoise, with northern landscapes and mountains in place of palm trees. On a sunny day, take a refreshing dip and enjoy a little time on the sand.
In the evening our Norwegian journey takes us into one of Lofoten's most impressive fjords: Trollfjord , surrounded by high cliffs. At golden hour, light slips through the rock walls and shimmers on the water. Time seems to pause, as though we have arrived on another planet. An experience to return to again and again.
The day ends in Lofoten's capital, Svolvær.
Day 4
Svolvær — Fløya — Djevelporten — Nusfjord — Reine
The trail, built by Nepalese Sherpas, offers changing views of the sea, lakes, peaks, the town below and even its coastal runway.
Then explore Svolvær and its welcoming streets. After lunch we sail to Nusfjord, one of Norway's oldest fishing settlements, and finish the day in Reine, ready for a beautiful sunrise hike.
Day 5
Reine — Ballstad — Henningsvær
By this point, it may feel as though there is no room for more impressions. Norway still finds ways to move you.
After the hike, rest and explore the traditional fishing village. Cod is still caught and dried here for export: wooden drying racks and storybook red houses are everywhere.
Towards evening, we continue through Ballstad and finish in Henningsvær.
Day 6
Henningsvær — Londingen
Henningsvær is a fishing village famous for its football pitch, set at the edge of an island amid rocks and sea. It is open to visiting players too: we may even have a game ourselves.
After the pitch and a walk around town, hike towards Festvågtinden or relax in a local restaurant with a view.
In the evening we head towards Harstad via Lødingen, where we spend the night.
Day 7
Londingen — Harstad
We then continue to Harstad, our final stop. Refuel and moor at the central town pier overlooking the fountain.
In the evening, share a farewell dinner and perhaps finish in the floating sauna opposite the yacht.
Day 8
Harstaad
We need to leave the yacht by 9 am.
Afterwards, continue exploring Norway, travel to Oslo or head to another town.

04 \ GOOD TO KNOW
Questions
& Answers
We choose sheltered waters where possible, but motion and seasickness are still possible, especially offshore. Ask a doctor or pharmacist about suitable remedies before the trip; medication and patches do not guarantee that symptoms will disappear. We do not set out into a storm.
In northern destinations: Our northern expedition boats have heating and hot water in the bathroom and galley. The Norwegian yacht, for example, has two Webasto heating systems and a clothes dryer to help keep everyone comfortable.
In warmer destinations: Boats used in warmer regions have air conditioning or fans. Air conditioning is generally available when we are not sailing; during passages, the sea breeze helps keep things comfortable.OTHER
